The Saxapahaw Rivermill Retreat is a perfect place for your workshop, conference or special event. Housed in a beautifully renovated historic mill building at the edge of the Haw River, the Retreat is an open and airy light-filled space with gorgeous river views. Perfect for smaller groups, the Retreat can hold up to 20 people comfortably for a workshop or conference and up to 50 for a party or special event.

The retreat center features a large open space for workshops and parties with an open kitchen and bar on the first floor, a smaller meeting room, and a bathroom. The second floor has a wide open loft area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom.

There are stairs outside that lead down to the riverbank with accessible deck and picnic areas and walking trails. Arrangements can be made for individual or group guided kayak and canoe trips as well as outings to the local vineyard for wine tastings and tours. We have a list of recommended caterers familiar with the space.

The Saxapahaw Rivermill Retreat can be rented days, evenings, and weekends and for for overnight stays. Should you be housing larger groups overnight, and there are a number of lovely Inns and B&B’s nearby. We can work with you to help tailor your event.
