The Hawbridge School
High Growth Honor School of Excellence
Located in a restored mill on the banks of the Haw River in Saxapahaw, North Carolina, The Hawbridge School offers an enriched curriculum in Environmental Studies and the arts, and a focus on environmental stewardship as a problem of ethics. Fully utilizing its beautiful surroundings, the school is a leader in the outdoor classroom movement, and research projects in the outdoors are a daily occurrence.
The Hawbridge School community engages in a learning partnership. Students develop the skills, values, and strategies required to master the challenging curriculum and to pursue lifelong learning and personal growth. Relationships based on mutual respect honor individual learning preferences and create a healthy intellectual, emotional, and physical environment.
